- 2025 was the busiest year in the schemes history, responding to 156 calls, up from 66 in 2024
- We replaced our scheme car, due to generous donations we were able to replace our aging Kia, to replace it with a modern, fuel efficient Dacia Duster.
- We welcomed two new responders, Jamie and Liz joined our scheme this year and are already proving invaluable to the scheme, helping us to provide more hours of cover to the community of Bridgnorth
- We got out and about within the local area, raising awareness of who CFRs are and what we do, also showing members of the public how to perform CPR and Defibrillator usage. We attended Bridgnorth Carnival, Burwarton Show & Bridgnorth Christmas lights switch on
- We also had continued support from our long standing collection tub hosts, Budgens of Bridgnorth and Reel Cinema Bridgnorth. We also have been able to site a couple more of our charity collection tubs within the Bridgnorth area too.
- We organised and you attended our first quiz night, raising funds for replacement Defibrillators within the Bridgnorth area.
Just a massive thankyou from everyone at Bridgnorth Community First Responders to everyone that has donated. Everyone that has Liked, Followed, or Shared our Facebook posts.
Without the support of the public we would not be able to do what we do.
From all of the team at Bridgnorth Community First Responders
Thankyou and have a great 2026!

December was our busiest month of the year!
Our amazing volunteers put in nearly 100 hours volunteering in December.
Responding to 21 calls within the Bridgnorth, Highley and Telford area.
With calls varying from, Cardiac arrest to Choking to Shortness of Breath and a number of other incidents.
All supporting West Midlands Ambulance Service
A packed house at Bridgnorth Rugby Club came together on Friday night for a charity quiz in support of Bridgnorth Community First Responders — and helped raise an impressive £2,463.64 for the lifesaving volunteer team.
Multiple teams took part in the lively evening, which featured a mix of general knowledge rounds, trivia, and light-hearted challenges. The atmosphere was helped along by a fantastic quiz host, whose energy and humour kept the competition friendly and fun throughout.
During the quiz, guests were treated to live music from a local band, The Witchatas, with a performance that kept spirits high.
Bridgnorth Community First Responders would like to extend a heartfelt thank-you to everyone who attended, donated, sponsored and supported the event — as well as to our brilliant quiz host and band, who generously gave their time to make the night a success.
All funds raised will go directly towards supporting the team’s vital work in the community, providing fast, frontline assistance during medical emergencies, responding to 999 calls and maintaining the upkeep of Defibrillators.
It was an evening of generosity, teamwork, and community spirit — and a fantastic reminder of what Bridgnorth can achieve together.

Our amazing volunteers put in over 150 hours volunteering in October, that includes;
- Being available to respond to 15 emergency 999 calls in our local community alongside West Midlands Ambulance Service
- Holding a talk with a local community group to share what it is we do,
- Training 15 people in CPR & using a DEFIB, meaning that more people know this lifesaving skill!

Thankyou to everyone that has donated to us, we have been lucky to have raised enough money to fund the purchase of a new responder vehicle.
Launched at the Bridgnorth Carnival in June 2025, the new vehicle has 4 wheel drive capability, allowing us to get to our more remote jobs with ease. Also, with a more efficient engine this will help us to save money on our fuel bill.
Thankyou to our key sponsors, find out more below.
